ADAC awards Outdooractive for innovations in sustainable visitor guidance
With its research project "Digital Ranger - Responsibility and Nature Conservation in Outdoor Tourism", Outdooractive won second place in the ADAC Tourism Prize for Bavaria 2025. On the tourism platform and the associated app, visitors to protected areas not only find suitable tour suggestions, exciting experiences and a worldwide travel guide, but are also informed in detail about local conservation regulations. In this way, users can plan and carry out their tours in an environmentally friendly manner.  Data-based monitoring and effective communication of the rules in force can be used to guide visitors in a targeted manner and encourage them to behave in a sustainable manner, without impairing the quality of the experience. With this innovative approach, outdoor tourism and biodiversity conservation go hand in hand.
