Working together for better trail experiences

Blocked paths, damaged or incomplete signage and markers, and broken infrastructure will all result in dissatisfied visitors and users. Seldom is the actual problem linked to bad infrastructure, but rather its poor maintenance, which is not the bedrock for a successful tourism strategy.

This is best achieved by benefitting from the work of one another. Ours is the tool you need to easily manage and maintain your trails so that, in the end, our users and your visitors can have a great experience that lasts sustainably

Act sustainably

A single tool that covers everything

Data collection

The My Business App can be used to capture infrastructure data directly in the field:

  • Georeferencing
  • Categorization
  • Images
  • Structured text information
  • Responsibilities
  • Conditions / issues / tasks

Site Management

Each section of the trail infrastructure can be effectively managed by combining list and map views with a range a range of filtering options.

  • Signposting
  • Information boards
  • Waste management
  • Bridges, viewpoints, railings, protective cables etc.

Defining Responsibilities

Responsibilities can be delegated for managing individual locations and tasks.

These allocations can be made by administrative regions (along a long-distance trail) or by numbering specific locations.

The resulting "Trail responsibility map" is then used to assign tasks to trail managers and any planned work can be reflected in the details of a route.

Signage Planning
(only Pro+)

Pro+ lets you go even further:

An unlimited number of signs templates can be created and grouped according to activity.

Your most widely used designs can be stored on the system with the option of adding more.

Place names, difficulty ratings, times and icons are automatically placed into the design.

Signs can then be exported to create printable templates.

Inspecting and Documenting

Inspection walks at regular intervals and after natural events such as heavy rain are part of the trail manager's tasks and these inspection routes can be recorded as tracks for documentation purposes.

Locations appear automatically on the My Business App’s screen when approached and can either be marked as okay or a task can be created specifically for that location.

Task Management

A ticketing system lets you manage and document your work.

Tasks can arise from visitor feedback in the form of comments, pictures, and current conditions or following inspections made by trail managers.

These tasks can then be assigned to the people responsible for carrying them out.

Website

(Pro+ only)

Once a destination's Travel Guide has been populated, your destination website can be generated in just a few clicks. The website is based on the information in the Travel Guide and can be individually branded and structured to suit your needs.

The content of your website reaches x5 as many potential guests via the Outdooractive platform than you would achieve with just a normal website.

Your community is already integrated and generates guest profiles for you.

Community Management

The complete Destination Management System (DMS) is also the hub for communicating with and proactively guiding your visitors.

Any comments, ratings, complaints, images, video posts, likes, questions, catalogue orders, and cost queries converge here.

With campaigns, you can generate leads and pass them to your CRM.
